Some of the gazillion photos we took on our roadtrip

We’re back in wintry Tasmania after an amazing 3 1/2 month road trip which saw us travel along the east coast as far north as Sydney, before backtracking to central Victoria in order to travel up the mighty Murray River.

We drove our ancient camper into the outback beyond Broken Hill before heading westwards to Port Augusta, and then up the Stuart Highway via Uluru, Kings Canyon, before finally arriving at Alice Springs. The last leg of our trip had us heading south into South Australia, before going along the coast back to Melbourne. We’ve brought back so many amazing memories which we now share as a family… a priceless experience I’d thoroughly recommend for anyone considering do something similar. Homeschooling on the road was easier than I’d anticipated, and I’m so proud of my kids for their contributions to making our trip run smoothly.

Now that we are back the online shop is open again, and I’m ready and willing to quickly pop books in the post in response to any orders. The garden is beckoning and needs some TLC in preparation for spring, and I’m determined to get some creative projects done on the days when going outside isn’t an enticing option. There have been several of those days already and we’ve only been back a week!
